Very interesting! But fucking sad! I can't believe how long an American stays alone in his life. I'm sure the graphic would be different for a country in Asia. Family would probably be the highest line.
As someone from an Asian country, that's probably true!
But I think spending time alone could just mean you are doing your own thing, while your other family members are doing their thing, and everyone is in the same house.
So, it's not as lonely as it sounds. At least, that's what I am hoping!
Yes, you are right, and I am hoping for a future with more family moments. Where do you come from? We have been living in Asia for 6 years with my husband. We really love the mentality. It’s hard to leave Asia… but I do see the culture getting Westernized here too.
We lived a long time in Vietnam and Cambodia, but the last 6 months we have been in Thailand. Are you enjoying the U.S.? My husband is from there but I am French.
I actually came to the U.S. around 10th grade of high school. And it’s been many years now, and I feel like I fit into the western culture better than Asian culture lol.
France is definitely on my list of places to visit. I heard Paris is packed with Asian tourists though. What are some less well known cities in France that you think I should check out?
Oh definitely Lyon and it’s surroundings, Ardeche, Beaujolais, and south France like Les Saintes Marie de la Mer. This is where I come from, it’s beautiful and authentic.

I'm from China, but currently living in the U.S.
I'm glad you are enjoying Asia. Which country in Asia are you guys staying at?
